Studio Chu

Julian Pablo Manzelli better know as CHU or Studio CHU has been a huge influence on our work. He is from Argentina and is apart of the DOMA collective, his roots are graffiti but has his fingers in all sorts of creative aspects such as graphic design, motion graphics, gallery installations, toy and plush design always keeping his very distinctive style... With out a doubt he is my favorite graffiti/street artist, i bet South America is a brighter place because of him... His Flickr is always updated with amazing work...

Starcow Paris

Awhile ago Mumptown went to paris on a little romantic mooch and shopping trip. We had a list of places we wanted to go one of them was Starcow, having heard about this store for a while and regularly checked out the website i was quite eager to get there... It is on the same street as Colette but they are not close to each other (Me and cezza got a bit lost on the same street... dunno how?). Starcow sell loads of good label shizz like Stussy, FUCT, NikeSB, Wood Wood, Norse Projects and have sold Alife apparel in the past. Unfortunately we got there at the end of the sale so they didn't really have much stock left but what they had was still pretty good... i well wanted the Norse x Elka Fisherman's rain jacket... The guy working in there who i think is one of the owners got abit chatty with Mumptown asking us about what we were wearing. Oww yeah it was sorta like chatting to a celebrity because we had seen this guy on the blog modeling in their excellent lookbooks. He was on about our Fjall Raven Kanken backpacks asking where we got em from. He said some funny remarks about "a horrible little shop called Colette" which we thought was funny...
The Starcow online shop only really sells trainers ive never ordered from it but thats not the reason i go on the site. The photography is proper ace all shot in the street outside also they have a blog and make little lookbooks online with the staff wearing the stock, always photographed brilliantly. Hypebeast even used them for the spring/summer Penfield collection. I love the image and feel of this store, just wanted to spread the ACE'ness of their blog... check out the grabstore collection...

After some slight neglect to our WAMPWAMP blog i have now realized that i am not down with web code (trying my little hardest, trial and error) and can not get a blogspot to look perfect. Ive now settled for this look... easy and clean... Anyway...

As usual Mumptown is down with the beats and are always digging for new and underground music. Now that the dubstep scene is dead with Bro-Step and Shit Wobb. And them peeps who wear sunglasses and the RUN DMC type dubstep tee's. Here is some stuff we be listening tooo.....
