New shoes!! Well, fairly new. I was finally able to get a pair of Gel Lyte III's.

Just a little over a month ago they became readily available where I work, Onitsuka Tiger. I've been after a pair of these ever since Oli got his over a year ago (see second picture)

So, I was very excited when I heard they were coming into store. That excited I had to purchase two pairs!

Happy New Years from Mumptown Oli and Ceri. We have been busy over December and shown some neglect to our website and blog. Hopefully we will get the blog rolling with new posts on what we are up too and all the little things we see and hear... Also we have new work for our website. "Whats in store for Mumptown in 2011" I hear you say... We have been planning to get tee's printed for a while now and we will soon put this into action. More illusration work and promo bits like stickers and badges to give away. Oli will soon be releasing a collection of beats he has been working on for a while, some textured downtempo hiphop beats called "Grimm Patterns" via Mumptown.

So, I've spent my day off trawling the internet for new illustration/graphic design...and I've managed to find some really good stuff! Here are some favourites...making me feel all inspired!

First up is Mogollon, an art direction studio, specializing in branding, graphic design, typography, illustration, motion graphics and pretty much everything else design wise! My favs are the editorial and self promotional stuff. Check it out here http://www.mogollon-ny.com/

Janine Rewell is a helsinki-based illustrator and graphic designer who has recently been nominated as one of the twenty hottest new visual artists of 2010. And you can see why...her work is amazing!! Well, hopefully. Oli and I will be making the move back to Liverpool soon, and moving in with one of our good friends and fellow designer Ash Spurr! We will mos definitely miss the RYL...but with us moving into a HOUSE this time round, we're getting all excited at the prospect of decorating and putting our own touch on things on a bigger scale, rather than just a few rooms of a flat. Oli and I are both fans of Chloe Sevigny as an actress, and we both agree that she has never really done a bad film?! Woo! I, however admire her for another reason too...her style. Whether she is dressed for the red carpet or just hanging out...on her skateboard! She has an effortless cool manor about her, she has a real striking unique look that I love, being a former model gives her a strong fashion background. Last year she designed her own collection which included both men's and women's pieces for Manhattan Boutique 'Opening Ceremony' (see picture 3 for example) The collection was sold exclusively in Barneys, Colette and Dover Street Market. The collection received mixed reviews, as I imagine she herself does...but...in my humble opinion I think she's ace, and definitely one of my favourite style crushes.

Pretty as a picture...much Love! Oh and here's a little song I've had on repeat lately, Its off the new Breakage album, which is definitely worth a listen!

It's fair to say that Parra is definitely one of our favourite Illustrators/Graphic Artist/Typographer. We have looked to him for inspiration for a while now...and his stuff never gets old! We especially like the way he makes it easy for everyone interested to own a piece of his work...with many collaborations with commercial companies like Nike and Vans. Not only that, he has his own ventures such as his clothing label Rockwell...Most known for crazy tees showcasing his artwork. We're both lucky enough to own a little bit of Parra, I got the Parra x Max 1's (with a little help from my friend Jack Morgan) and Oli got to pick up the Parra book on our trip to Paris, and it's no secret that we both treasure our items...ha! Parra we love you.

Awhile ago Mumptown went to paris on a little romantic mooch and shopping trip. We had a list of places we wanted to go one of them was Starcow, having heard about this store for a while and regularly checked out the website i was quite eager to get there... It is on the same street as Colette but they are not close to each other (Me and cezza got a bit lost on the same street... dunno how?). Starcow sell loads of good label shizz like Stussy, FUCT, NikeSB, Wood Wood, Norse Projects and have sold Alife apparel in the past. Unfortunately we got there at the end of the sale so they didn't really have much stock left but what they had was still pretty good... i well wanted the Norse x Elka Fisherman's rain jacket... The guy working in there who i think is one of the owners got abit chatty with Mumptown asking us about what we were wearing. Oww yeah it was sorta like chatting to a celebrity because we had seen this guy on the blog modeling in their excellent lookbooks. He was on about our Fjall Raven Kanken backpacks asking where we got em from. He said some funny remarks about "a horrible little shop called Colette" which we thought was funny...
The Starcow online shop only really sells trainers ive never ordered from it but thats not the reason i go on the site. The photography is proper ace all shot in the street outside also they have a blog and make little lookbooks online with the staff wearing the stock, always photographed brilliantly. Hypebeast even used them for the spring/summer Penfield collection. I love the image and feel of this store, just wanted to spread the ACE'ness of their blog... check out the grabstore collection...

After some slight neglect to our WAMPWAMP blog i have now realized that i am not down with web code (trying my little hardest, trial and error) and can not get a blogspot to look perfect. Ive now settled for this look... easy and clean... Anyway...

It was my birthday the other week...and I got some lovely stuff! And I had a lovely day full of Tea, Cake (a giant cupcake!!) some new kicks...and a party frock! Also I went to see Alice in Wonderland in the evening with my sister...It was ace...as expected! I would have maybe preferred there to be more of the original story in it, but all round a beautiful film to watch! I would like Johnny Depp (as the mad hatter) to be my friend :)
